Another candidate has dropped out of the city's ward five race.
Joe Lucier has announced he is stepping aside and is asking his supporters to vote for Joey Wright.
As heard on AM800 news Friday morning, Martin Utrosa has also backed out of the race and is throwing his support behind Wright.
"Let's give him a shot and let's see what we can do for him but let's all put our support behind him and the votes that I was going to get, vote for Joey and let's send the city a message and let's get the votes out there and do the best we can for the guy," says Lucier.
He adds his heart was not into the race.
"I looked at the candidates going forward and I just want our ward represented properly and I just want the right guy to do the right job," says Lucier. "At this time in my life, it's not the right thing for me but I think Joey Wright will be the right guy for the job and I think people should get behind him and give the guy a chance and see what he can do for us."
Ed Sleiman is the incumbent and is seeking a third term.
Adam Castle and Lillian Kuzsely are also running in ward five.
