Windsor police have identified a suspect in a stabbing.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 21-year-old Benjamin Carter of Windsor — he is facing charges including attempt murder, assault with a weapon, and two counts of breach of probation.
As we told you this morning on AM800 News, the incident happened around 9:30pm Tuesday near 126 Ouellette Ave. between Pitt Street West and Riverside Drive East.
A woman was stabbed in the neck and suffered what police describe as non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, the suspect had fled the scene on foot prior to their arrival.
It was also determined that the suspect and the victim were known to one another.
Benjamin Carter is described as a male black, six feet tall, weighing approximately 210 pounds, brown eyes, with black afro hairstyle.
He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweater with a red shirt underneath, blue jeans and white and red running shoes.
Carter is to be considered armed and dangerous and police say do not approach him — call 911.
