Windsorite Corey Bellmore has won the Beer Mile World Championships.
Bellmore ran with a total time of 4:49.
Bellmore says when it comes to beer runs he always gives his best effort.
"I just tried to go out like I did in England," says Bellmore. " I just tried to get after it at a fast pace. The beers were a little bit hard today but I do not do much training in that sense so that is expected."
Bellmore says the run was more difficult then expected.
" I am not use to the humidity," says Bellmore. " I am use to temperatures reaching negative 15 degrees coming here from Canada. Coming down here the humidity is a shock but a fun time."
Bellmore says he appreciates the support from all who watched the event.
"It is awesome," says Bellmore. "It is a fun atmosphere and it is nice to have the crowd out here supporting and cheering you. Thanks for making this a fun event for me."
Bellmore was two seconds short of Lewis Kent's time of 4:47 last year. Kent came in second this year.
