A Windsor woman is facing 50 charges after being arrested in a fraud-related case. Amherstburg Police report the charges follow a six-month long investigation into a number of fraud complaints.
Investigators say a number of alleged victims from Amherstburg and Windsor have come forward with a reported loss in the range of $200,000.
As a result, 52-year-old Audrey Annette Bishop has been arrested and charged with 19 counts of fraud under $5,000, 12 counts of fraud over $5,000, 17 counts of uttering a forged document and 2 counts of theft under $5,000.
Police say anyone who befriended Bishop could also be a potential victim.
Investigators are asking anyone who had contact with Bishop, or knows of someone who had contact with her, where money was exchanged under suspicious circumstances, is being asked to contact police.
