Windsor TFC is bringing on Zibby Piatkiewicz as its new head coach.
The League1 Ontario season kicks off for Windsor TFC on April 28 at the University of Windsor against Mississauga for a 7:30pm kick-off.
Windsor TFC President Vancho Cirovski is confident the team will be ready by then as Piatkiewicz knows many of the players already. Cirovski expects Piatkiewicz will get the most out of the squad now and in the future.
"This is going to be a tremendous blend of veterans and youth and with a committed coach, we look to see better results from previous years," says Cirovski.
Piatkiewicz is a perfect fit for what they're trying to do at Windsor TFC in developing young talent, according to Cirovski.
"He's really passionate about this. He comes from a youth team orientation, but he's played at the highest levels and with his committment to coaching development and earning the National B licence he's an outstanding fit for our program so we're thrilled," says Cirovski.
Piatkiewicz holds a National B Coaching license from Canada Soccer. He comes to Windsor TFC after serving on the coaching staff for the University of Windsor men's soccer team.
