Windsor police officers are investigating a homicide after being called to the 2900-block of Tecumseh Rd. E for a report of someone hurt on a sidewalk.
Police were called to the scene at 3:55am near Tecumseh Rd. E and Alexis Rd — just east of the Chrysler plant.
Officers got on scene to find a man injured. The nature of his injuries is being witheld as information important to the investigation.
The man was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Tecumseh Rd. E between Drouillard Rd. and Alexis Rd. was closed for several hours.

Sergeant Steve Betteridge hopes the public can pitch in with any tips they may have.
"Because this is something that was called into police in the wee hours of the morning — if anyone was in the area, if anyone saw anything suspicious even if they think it's the smallest, littlest thing it could tied in," says Betteridge. "Don't hesitate to give us a shout."
