Windsor takes last in a new study that looks at the best cities in Canada for women.
The Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives study ranks the country's 25 largest cities, looking at gaps between men and women in terms of economic and personal security, education, health and positions of leadership.
The study says Windsor has a larger-than-average employment gap, the highest gap in the percentage of women living in poverty compared to men, and a large gap in women's representation in leadership roles.
Jo-Anne Gignac is the only woman currently serving on Windsor city council.
Kingston and London were rated in the top five while Toronto and the Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo-area were in the middle of the pack and Oshawa was near the bottom.
Victoria, B.C. is the top city on the list for the second year in a row.
