A call for patience for anyone needing a taxi on New Year's Eve.
'Vets Cab' in Windsor plans to have 190 vehicles on the road Saturday night.
General Manager Walt Bezzina says it's a busy night for his drivers but they're ready. "New Year's Eve is the busiest night for cabbies and the best approach is patience and more patience, nothing better than that. We'll get to you as quickly as we can.
Bezzina also has some tips for anyone needing a cab. "You can help yourself by not calling if you're right downtown, you're probably better off hailing a cab. And the customers that are calling, making multiple calls, doesn't really move you in the que any faster, in fact, it actually slows you down."
Over the past two years, 'Vets Cab' has handled an average of 6,000 trips on New Year's Eve.
