Looks like Windsor Aces junior hockey will have to wait a little bit longer for the puck to drop on the team's inaugural season.
Saturday's Greater Metro Junior 'A' Hockey League game has been postponed due to immigration issues, according to a statement by owner and head coach Joe Bryne Jr.
“There were some immigration paperwork issues in regards to some of our players which caused a delay in icing our team," says Bryne Jr. "We were immediately in contact with the ownership of the Kingsville Kings, our first opponent for the 2017-2018 season. They were very understanding of the issue at hand. ”
The Aces will return to Adie Knox Herman Arena on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 7:30pm against the Kingsville Kings.
