The Windsor International Film Festival is bringing something entirely new to the table this year.
WIFF has introduced for the first time ever, an interactive live documentary where the audience has a say in what is shown.
The documentary is called "130 Year Road Trip."
It's made up of pre-filmed, documentary scenes where people will vote on what they want to see.
Director of the live documentary Kim Nelson says live documentaries have been growing in popularity.
"Live documentary is a form that has been around for a few years. It was pioneered by Sam Green around five years ago. What you do is you have the film maker on the stage, you screen the clips like a typical film but instead of the narration being embedded it is being performed live on the stage and the music is performed live in the space," says Nelson.
The documentary will be edited over the course of the festival and all edits will be as a result of audience participation .
