Executive Director Vincent Georgie says the audience continues to grow and they expect 24,000.

"We have people take vacations days and sick days and flexible schedules, we bring in people from Southwest Ontario, more and more the GTA and Eastern Ontario as well coming in and taking vacation and catching a whole bunch of films"
Georgie says they're bringing in a film banned in the country it was made in.
"Rafiki is a story about young lesbians in love. And that film in Kenya is banned by it's government. to this day in Kenya the act of homosexual relationship is jailable for 14 years"
He says their objective is to find unique films.
"We really like to bring films people can't see otherwise because they just don;t come her or they don't come to our country. So it's those types of films, and every film is its own contract and its own arrangement. When we're fighting for these films and searching for these films and working to bring them here, that's the type of film where it's worth the effort"
This year the 48-hour Flickfest, where local filmmakers shoot, edit and show a film in two days is named after WIFF founder Mark Boscariol.
