It's the battle of Essex County tonight in Jr B hockey action.
The LaSalle Vipers will host the Leamington Flyers at the Vollmer at 7:00.
Head Coach, Bill Bowler tells the Noon Report on AM800, the team is where they want to be. "Just looking on paper, looking at the roster you kind of envisioned we would be battling up there and it's a long year. There's still a lot of hockey so there could be some changing at the top within the standings," says Bowler.
He adds "Leamington is well aware of our group, as are we of them so basically it will come down to execution like it always does. Who can execute and capitalize on their scoring chances. Leamington doesn't give you a whole lot so we understand if we do get an odd man rush or a scoring chance, lets try to make the most of it."
The Vipers are coming off a 7-2 win over Lambton Shores on the weekend.
LaSalle is first in the Western Conference with a 15-3-0 record and Leamington is third at 13-4-0.
