It doesn't get any more exciting than the LaSalle Vipers-Leamington Flyers game at the Vollmer Centre Wednesday night.
Manny Silverio scored with one second left in regulation to lift the Vipers to a 3-2 win over the Flyers in the latest installment of the Battle of Essex County.
The teams played through a scoreless first period before Nathan Savage gave LaSalle's its first lead at 7:04 of the second period.
Zach Guilbeault drew the Flyers even with a goal at 11:22, but Liam MacDougall gave the Vipers a 2-1 lead after two periods with a goal at 17:10.
Leamington tied the game again when Sylvano Valente scored on the power play with a little more than four minutes to play in regulation.
That set the stage of Silvero's heroics.
LaSalle held the edge in shots 40-32, and Eli Billing picked up the win in goal.
