A new medical cannabis clinic is now open in east Windsor, just a day ahead of recreational pot becoming legal.
But the Cannabis Supply Company does not have marijuana on site, nor does it serve the recreational sector currently.
The storefront on Tecumseh Road East near Central Avenue has telehealth-style spaces where a patient interacts with a Nurse Practitioner via Internet.

This is the seventh location for the Brantford-based company.
Store Manager Jane Gerolimetto explains there is a $200 fee to access the service.

"We offer patients to come in and we set them up with a nurse practitioner, they can speak with a nurse practitioner and obtain their medical license to obtain cannabis, medical cannabis. That's one thing we do, we also counsel them on how to take it, how to take their cannabis, use their cannabis"
Gerolimetto says they also have items to consume the medical marijuana.
"Things like bongs, things like vaporizers which are very popular in the medical field. Things like rolling papers, we also have lifestyle products like T-shirts hats, that sort of thing, fun things"
Company General Manager Sherri Graham says the clinic operates as a medical facility.
"You get two consultation appointments with our nurse practitioners, the first one you're going to receive a three month prescription because they want to see how the cannabis is helping you and then you come back and see them and then they can prescribe up to 12 months, that's the maximum length you can write a cannabis prescription"
Graham says they don't provide the marijuana, that is mailed to your home from a Licensed Provider.
She says once the regulatory details are worked out the company will look at becoming a recreational pot retailer.
