VIDEO Bob Boughner Officially Named Head Coach Of The Florida Panthers

It's official, Bob Boughner is the new head coach of the Florida Panthers.
The team announced this morning that they've hired the Windsor native for the upcoming season.
The 46-year-old served as an assistant coach for the San Jose Sharks the past two seasons and also had a stint as an assistant coach with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2010-11.
Boughner served as head coach of the Windsor Spitfires for eight seasons, winning two consecutive J. Ross Robertson Cups and two consecutive Memorial Cups (2009, 2010). Boughner was named the OHL and the Canadian Hockey League's Coach of the Year in 2007-08 and 2008-09.
The Panthers will hold a news conference at 2pm to oficially introduce Boughner to the media.
This is his first head coaching job in the NHL.
