Damage from a house fire in Windsor is now listed at $285,000.
It happened before 6:30am Friday at 2137 Dougall Ave. near the intersection with Tecumseh Rd. W.
The cause is listed as careless use of smoking materials.
Bob, who lives a few doors down from the fire, says there was a lot of smoke.
"When I walked outside, I thought it was foggy and then I could smell burning plastic." he says. Then we could see the flames coming out from the roof of the house."

District Fire Chief Don Easby says most the damage was contained to the rear of the home.
"When we arrived on scene we had a working fire on the rear of the house on the second floor wooden patio deck, extending into the house," says Easby.
No injuries are reported as everyone made it out safely including the family cats.
