Two Windsor woman have been arrested

Two Windsor women have been arrested and charged after what police describe as a 'serious assault.'

Officers were called shortly after midnight Saturday to the 1000 block of Lincoln Rd. where they found a 19-year-old woman suffering from several non-life threatening injuries. Police determined the woman was assaulted in an apartment in the 300 block of University Ave. E.

Investigators do not believe it was a random attack.

AM800 news has learned the victim was held for 3-4 days and was shot at with a BB gun, cut and suffered numerous other injuries.

Police will only say the investigation is progressing and it was a very serious incident.

Samantha Watson and Nicole May, both 21, have been charged with aggravated assault, forcible confinement, assault with a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.

The Windsor Police Major Crime Branch continues to investigate.
