Are we alone in the universe?
According to the 2016 Canadian UFO Survey, there were a total of 1,131 sightings of unidentified flying objects reported last year across Canada, including four in Windsor-Essex.
On May 5th in Kingsville, there was a report of 3 large cross-shaped crafts, and one smaller one, all flashing different colours.
Just before midnight on July 9th in Windsor, someone reported a slow comet that vanished, followed by a 'star like object' that grew into another comet.
Around 11am on September 9th in Windsor, a blue oval was reported emerging from a cloud before quickly disappearing.
But the most bizarre report came in around 11am on January 12th in Tecumseh. One person reported that an alien stole his sunglasses, belt and silver pieces. The person then reported discovering a "rip in space and time" in a photo of the area where the event happened.
The annual report is produced by Winnipeg-based Ufology Research.
The most popular shape of UFO reported in 2016 was a simple point source of light (57%). Other shapes reported were triangle (4%), ball (9%), cigar (3%) and fireball (5%). A “flying saucer” shape was only reported 48 times.
