There's a change in the construction project at Manning Rd. and County Road 22.
Southbound Manning will be closed between Amy Croft Dr. and County Rd. 22 until September 23.
County of Essex Manager of Design and Construction Peter Bziuk points it only affects one direction.
"In that same stretch of Manning Rd., the northbound direction remains open so as vehicles are turning left or right off of County Rd 22, they are able to go north on Manning into the Town of Tecumseh," says Bziuk.
Bziuk says there is a limited amount of space there to fit the construction workers and their vehicles and the heavy construction equipment so they needed to close the short stretch.
He admits the recent storm did slow things down.
"One of the things we're always a little wary of is the weather. Everyone knows we had some rain and that has caused a little bit of a delay to the contractor's schedule."
Bziuk says they expect to have the work complete by the end of November.
He says final touches like wiring for traffic signals and line painting may last a bit longer.
