The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is putting out the call for help.
As part of AM800's 13th annual Cans for a Cause, it is hoping to collect as much food as possible.
AM800 will be at Devonshire Mall near the food court until 10pm.
It needs everything for breakfast, lunch and dinner like cereals, oatmeal, non-perishable food items and canned fruit.
Speaking on the Morning Drive, Society VP Bernie Amlin says the group needs all the help it can get.
"I can't begin to say how important this is because the St. Vincent de Paul doesn't have a lot of money. We can't afford to do the big publicity stuff on the radio or the newspaper so anytime we get a chance to have an organization help us to make people aware of what we are, we really appreciate it."
Some of the bigger donations this morning came from the WFCU, Zehrs, FreshCo, Evoys Service Garage, Metro and Windsor Express.
