The Royals roll over the Tigers 164

The Tigers split their four-game series with the Royals after a 16-4 loss last night in Kansas City.

Starter Michael Fulmer was chased after giving up eight runs, five earned, on seven hits in two and two third innings.   Ian Kinsler smacked a two run double and Jose Iglasias and Miguel Cabrera each knocked in a run to cut the deficit to 8-4 by the top of the sixth, but the Royals went on to score eight more runs to put the game out of reach.

Cabrera's RBI in the sixth was the 1600th of his career.

Eric Hosmer and Whit Merrifield homered for KC, which won the final two in the four-game set.

Michael Fulmer allowed eight runs, five of which were earned, in less than three innings to fall to 10-and-7.
