Tigers Fall To K.C. In Extra Innings

Tigers drop a 53 game in twelve innings to the Royals in Detroit

Salvador Perez and Mike Moustakas hit back-to-back home runs to lead off the 12th as the Royals won their sixth straight, beating the Tigers 5-3 in Detroit.

Seven KC relievers worked six and one third scoreless innings.

Royals rookie Jorge Bonifacio had three hits, including a home run.  

Tigers starter Justin Verlander allowed three runs on five hits and struck out nine over seven innings.  Alex Avila drove in two Detroit runs.
