Eric Staal continued to find success against Toronto, scoring what turned out to be the game winner as the Minnesota Wild beat the Maple Leafs 3-2.
Staal has 47 points in 43 career games against Toronto. Three of his six goals this season have come against the Maple Leafs.
Jason Zucker and Chris Stewart also scored for the Wild (13-8-4), who wrapped up their five-game road trip 2-1-2.
Ben Smith and Tyler Bozak found the back of the net for the Maple Leafs (10-10-5), who dropped to 8-4-0 at Air Canada Centre.
Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves for the win as Frederik Andersen kicked out 17-of-20 shots in defeat.
