The 30th annual Freed's Basketball Tournament is tipping off this morning in Windsor.
The tournament attracts some of the best high school basketball teams in Ontario including one this year from Indiana.
From this area, Catholic Central, St. Annes and Kennedy high schools will also be taking part.
New to the tournament this year is a 'prep division' which will feature a number of high-level teams which tournament Convener Pete Cusamano calls "somewhere between high school and college in terms of skill level."
A local team called 'Three Kings' will play in the 'prep team division' along with the team from Kennedy.
All of the games will be played at St.Clair College.
The tournament schedule tips-off at 9:30am Friday with St.Annes taking on Catholic Central high school while the 'prep division' will also begin play at 9:30am Friday as the '3 Kings' take on Kennedy.
The medal round games are scheduled for Saturday afternoon at 2pm and 3:30pm.
