Tecumseh council has approved its 2017 budget in principle.
On Thursday, the town held budget deliberations.
Council accepted a 2.7% tax increase to the municipal levy.
Deputy Mayor Joe Bachetti says the increase varies for each resident.
"I believe it's $85 on a property assessed at $250,000 so depending on the MPAC fluctuation it is a bit different for each resident," says Bachetti.
The town states the increase maintains and or enhances municipal services.
The budget can be found on the town's website.
Council will formally adopt the proposed budget at its December 13th council meeting.
