A slight tax increase is expected for the Town of Tecumseh.
On Tuesday, council got a first hand look at the draft budget prior to budget deliberations next week.
The draft budget calls for a tax hike of 2.6 percent.
Councillor Andrew Dowie says that works out to an increase of $85 for a a house assessed at $250,000.
"Ultimately we are looking at an increase this year so I encourage all residents of Tecumseh let is know if you want us to keep up the pace with our plans or whether you like us to pull back because this is the time when we need to decide," says Dowie.
The town will hold a public budget meeting on November 17th at 5pm at town hall.
It's expected the budget will be finalized on December 13th.
