Summerfest has come to an end along the Windsor riverfront.
The 17-day-long event featured live entertainment, a midway, tugboat races and, of course, the Ford Fireworks

Executive Director David Grimaldi says volunteers did a great job with the Canada Day parade.
"They did a fantastic job of ensuring that produced a top quality event but also maintained a safe environment for all of those that participated in the parade and those that were watching the parade," says Grimaldi. "I can't tell you how extremely proud I am for the team that we had assembled for that event."
Despite the heat, Grimaldi says the public enjoyed the event. "People came out later because of the fact that it was warm but I can tell you in the evening that, that venue was packed," he says.
Grimaldi says the organizing committee will take a little break before getting together to recap this year's event.
He says planning is also well underway for this year's Santa Claus parade.
