Toronto righty Aaron Sanchez couldn't snap his personal losing streak as the Blue Jays fell 5-4 to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Sanchez has a MLB-worst 14 losses this season and is winless in his last 15 starts.
Rafael Devers hit a solo homer and drove in four runs, Eduardo Rodriguez pitched effectively into the seventh inning.
Devers also had a two-run double and RBI single for the Red Sox, who had dropped three of four since a five-game winning streak.
Teoscar Hernandez hit two solo homers over the Green Monster and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. had one for the Blue Jays, who have lost seven of 10.
In other MLB action on Wednesday, the Detroit Tigers lost 7-2 to the Cleveland Indians.
