The WesternConference leaders handed Windsor a 73 loss at the WFCU Centre Thursday night

Windsor was on the other end of a 7-3 rout at the hands of the London Knights in OHL action at the WFCU Centre Thursday night.

It was all London in the first period, outshooting the Spitfires 20-8. The Knights went into the locker room with a 2-0 lead on goals from Antonio Stranges and Cole Tymkin.

London struck twice more in the second frame on just five shots to make it 4-0 — Windsor was only able to muster five shots of their own.

Will Cuylle finally gave the Spitfires some hope in the third period, scoring twice in less than 15-seconds to pull within two.

Paul Cotter would restore a two-goal buffer for London before Connor Cocoran answered back for Windsor to make it 5-3.

Billy Moskal put the game away for the Western-Conference leaders. He beat Windsor goalie Colton Incze at the 17-minute mark and added an empty netter for a 7-3 final.

Windsor is still holding on to the final playoff spot in the Western-Conference with 43-points.

The Spitfires head up the 401 for a rubber match in London Friday night — puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

The pregame show begins at 7:05 p.m.
