Nick Tavolieri-Essex scored three goals in the third period to lead the Wheatley Sharks to a 6-4 win over Blenheim on home ice Monday night.
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period with Alixe Saliba for Wheatley and Blenheim's Bryce Broad trading goals.
Dustin Maines gave the first-place Blades a 2-1 after 40 minutes with the lone goal of the second period.
A wild third period saw the teams combine for four goals in the final 96 seconds of regulation.
Tyler Dillon stopped 23 shots to earn the victory for Wheatley, while Adam Craven made 21 saves for the Blades.
