The Greater Essex County School Board is moving forward with a report on what it might cost to renovate Windsor Stadium.
Trustee Alan Halberstadt made the motion calling for the report stating the stadium is under utilized as it's currently only being used by Kennedy high school.
Superintendent of Business Shelley Armstrong says administration has its work cut out as the facility is in need of a long list of upgrades to bring it up to modern day standards.
"It's primarily being used by the students at Kennedy secondary school for practices and, obviously, for some games from the high school football program, but we do need to take a look at the facilities and the condition of them too."
She says, like most major projects, it'll all come down to dollars and cents.
"Once we provide the report to the board it'll be a decision that the trustees will need to make and it'll have to be all dependent on the budget and the needs of the board as well. So there will be some discussion related to that."

Armstrong says community partnerships are a possibility as well.
"We want it to be a great facility for our students to use, but we have to work through the condition report and there's always conversations that people may have express in terms of community use and that's one of the missions of the board, community uses of our facilities."
The report on the cost of renovations is expected to come back before trustees in February 2020.
Back in 2016, a $10-million plan by the Windsor AKO Fratmen organization to restore the stadium fell through.
