Santa Claus Visits Kingsville
It's that time of the year again.
The first Santa Claus Parade takes place in Kingsville Saturday night.
Maggie Durocher is with the Windsor Parade Corporation and says this year's parade includes 50 entries.
"We got over 50 entries, lots of marching bands, everybody's favourite, we got American marching bands, of course our local favourites from here," says Durocher. "We got lots of community entries and the parade corporation is bringing two brand new floats this year."
Durocher says the parade begins at 6pm.
"The parade starts on Main Street at Spruce, it goes west on Main to Division Road," says Durocher. "Once it gets to Division it turns south towards the lake and finishes up on Park Street. Immediately following the parade, is all the fun back at Lakeside Park with the fireworks."
She says excitement is building for this year's parade.
"I'm excited to see the spectators faces as they see the floats," says Durocher. "I'm excited to see the proud and ownership the staff and volunteers faces as they see the floats go down the parade route because they really got a lot to be proud of this year."
The town's Fantasy of Lights Festival also kicks off on Saturday at Lakeside Park.
Some events include dinner with Santa, the lighting of the lights and fireworks.
