Mark has been attending the Salvation Army annual Christmas dinner since 2004 and says it means a lot to him to get a good hot meal and enjoy some festive music.
Another dinner guest, Mathew, says attending the dinner is a highlight of the season saying "we've been coming as a family tradition for 19 years."

Major Paul Rideout says the local Salvation Army is still $125,000 short of its $270,000 goal. He says volunteers are still needed for the red kettle campaign which wraps up Christmas Eve.
All of the money raised stays in Windsor-Essex to support local programs.
