Royals Roll Over Tigers 31

K.C. wins for a seventh straight time beating the Tigers at Comerica Park

Danny Duffy pitched strong into the seventh inning as the Royals beat the Tigers 3-1 in Detroit to run their winning streak to seven games.  

Whit Merrifield homered on Michael Fulmer's first pitch of the game.

Kelvin Herrera worked a perfect ninth for his 21st save.  Fulmer permitted three runs on eight hits, struck out six and walked none over eight innings in the loss.

The Tigers loaded the bases in the seventh and had two on and none out in the eighth, but failed to score.

In tonight's series finale, Anibal Sanchez goes to the hill for the Tigers Ian Kennedy for KC.
