A local eatery is going digital.
Rino's Kitchen and Ale House has released a mobile app which will allow the restaurant to reach out to customers in a whole new way.
Owner and Chef, Josh Fraser, says the app will showcase menus and food reviews, feature a new rewards program and allow the restaurant to send out alerts to customers about upcoming events and specials.
He says if you don't have an app you're behind the times.
"At one point it wasn't even necessary for businesses to have a website, but nowadays with our reliance or better yet, our love affair with technology, most businesses have a website, a social media presence."
Fraser says an app is perfect for Rino's Kitchen.
"I personally feel that restaurants stand to benefit more than other businesses from a mobile app. We have content that people want to see on social media whether it's pictures of the food or upcoming menus or specials or our upcoming events."
The mobile app was designed by local company Certified Marketing Pros and is currently available for Apple and Android devices.
Fraser says he's looking forward to rolling it out.
"It's going to be very nice for us to be able to have a direct line of communication with our customers. Facebook or traditional media, they can only get you so far. You have a message you want your customers to get so you buy advertising and hope that they see it. Well with this app we know that the people will see what we want them to."
