The head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks says he always enjoys coming back home to Windsor.
Joel Quenneville was in town yesterday for the 12th annual WESPY awards.
He was the keynote speakers for the event but earlier in the day, he met with students from Corpus Christi Catholic Middle School, taking part in the hockey program at Central Park Athletics.
Quenneville says it was nice to interact with the students.
"They asked great questions, their enthusiasm for the game, they're very knowledgeable about the players and the sport itself," says Quenneville.
He grow up in the Riverside area.
Quenneville has captured four Stanley Cups. One as an assistant coach with Colorado and three as head coach of the Blackhawks.
This is his 9th season coaching the Hawks.
