Police are warning Windsor residents to be leery of door-to-door solicitors after two men tried to talk their way into a woman's home on the weekend.
It happened in the 1400 block of Norman Road near Seminole Street. The men told the woman that her furnace needed a new sticker and, although they were persistant, she denied them entry.
Police have issued the following descriptions of the suspects. The first appeared to be in his late twenties, six-feet tall with olive skin. The second man is light skinned with short, light brown hair, 5'9" tall with a thin build. Both were wearing black work coats with yellow stripes. One was carrying a clipboard and wearing an ID tag around his neck but it was turned around couldn't be read.
Police are reminding homeowners they are under no obligation to allow solicitors inside, especially if it's not a pre-arranged appointment.
