Police Update Charges After Weekend Shooting

More charges have been laid after a weekend dispute that ended with a man being shot in the leg.

Police report that officers were called around midnight Saturday morning, about a man with a gun at a home on Aubin Road between Alice St. and Milloy St.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg and the tip of his nose missing, bitten off during a struggle.

Investigators say one man agreed to set-up a satellite system for the victim but an argument broke out and he left, only to return with a shotgun.

The victim was shot but he fought back and it was during that fight that he lost the tip of his nose.

The 49-year-old victim underwent surgery and will survive.

The 32-year-old suspect, the victims newphew,  is facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, uttering a death threat, break and enter as well as numbers firearm related offences.
