The Detroit Pistons are expected to announce today a return to playing in Detroit at the new 732-million-dollar Little Caesars Arena.
A news conference is set for 3pm where it's expected the move will be made official.
The Pistons have been located at The Palace in Auburn Hills since 1988 and the Lions' move into Ford Field 14 years ago left the NBA team as the only local pro franchise still in the suburbs.
Little Caesars Arena is scheduled to be complete for the Red Wings' hockey season next October.
Reports indicate The Palace will be demolished and the property will be sold once the Pistons move.
