Colchester Park could soon be the home to a new pirate ship themed pavilion.
The Harrow Kinsmen are getting the ball rolling on the building which would include seating for 100 people.
Kinsmen Director, Dan Sauve, says it would perfectly accompany the pirate ship playground and splash pad that went up a few years ago.
"From years in the past, Colchester was kind of dwindling. There wasn't very many people going down there. Now, with those two investments, you go down there you have a hard time finding a parking spot and I think that this new pavilion will just encourage that much more want to come down to Colchester Harbour."

Sauve says the Kinsmen would cover the entire cost of the project through fundraising and donations.
"It is a large cause and yes, we are pulling out some serious favours on keeping the cost down on this because we are fundraising to pay 100% of it. Anywhere between $50,000 and $100,000 to get this thing put together. Atlas Tube is a huge contributor as well as EnerQuest Services out of Harrow."
The Town of Essex has agreed to pick up the $15,000 tab for engineering on the project.
If all goes well, Sauve is hoping construction can begin in the spring of next year.
