The Liberal party will have its candidate for the 2019 federal election in Chatham-Kent-Leamington.
Katie Omstead will formally accept the nomination Thursday night at 7pm at the Tilbury Knights of Columbus.
She was the 2015 Liberal candidate and received 19,351 votes, coming in second behind the PC's Dave VanKesteren who received 21, 677 votes.
The elementary school teacher led a grassroots campaign in 2015 focused on positive politics, hard work and real change.
In 2019, she plans to continue to listen and learn from residents across the riding.
She was born and raised in Chatham-Kent and now lives with her husband and daughter in Leamington.
