I look forward to talking with my Parliamentary colleagues in person about this; but for now, see my letter below.

In a letter posted on his Twitter account, Nicholls says, "four years of experience as Deputy Speaker have prepared me for the role" and "I know what it means to enforce the rules of debate impartially."
He goes on to say his many years of officiating provincial basketball, hockey and baseball have given him a "strong sense of fair play."
The next speaker of the house will be selected on July 11th when the Legislature is recalled.
Nicholls was re-elected in Chatham-Kent--Leamington for a third term in June's provincial election.
