A new e-tool being offered by the city will make it easier for contractors to submit building permit applications.
Using the new system, designers, contractors and homeowners will be able to submit digital drawings, payments and more, all online.
Chief Building Official, John revell says it will be easy.
"They'll be able to go online, fill out an application and submit drawings to us electronically, so it will be very customer friendly," says Revell.

Revell says this has been in the works for over a year.
"This is something we've been talking about with the Windsor Construction Association, other construction associations, contractors and designers throughout the city," says Revell. "It's something that we're very excited to roll out. It's going to be a good customer service for them and it's going to help us internally too."
The new e-permit service is scheduled to be up and running by March 6, 2018 and will be accessible via the City's website at www.citywindsor.ca.
