Police say a family doctor who was allegedly killed by her husband is from Tecumseh.
40-year-old Elana Fric Shamji was found dead Thursday by a roadway north of Toronto.
On Friday, 40-year-old Toronto neurosurgeon, Mohammed Shamji, was arrested in Mississauga and charged with first-degree murder.
The woman was reported missing by her mother on November 30.
Police say she died of blunt force trauma and was strangled.
The Ontario Medical Association has confirmed to CTV Windsor she attended St. Anne High School in Tecumseh and also the University of Windsor.
Police say the couple have three children together and have been married for 10 years.
