People across Windsor Essex will be able to get some personal time with the Memorial Cup.
A tour dubbed "10 wards in 10 day" will see the trophy visit each of the city's wards as well as some locations in Essex County.
The cup will arrive in Windsor by Coast Guard vessel at Dieppe Park May 18th.
It will then start a tour across the city and to each of the 7 municipalities in the county.
John Savage, Spitfires co-owner and head of the committee organizing the Memorial Cup says he's excited about the event.
He says it's a big event for the team.
Savage says the ticket sales are the current stage and there's more to come: "it's like anything, when you get down there's all the details you have to fine tune the excitement there certainly from all the committee members involved in this we're launching tonight the volunteer and we're still looking for volunteers"
Windsor Sport Tourism official Samantha Magalas says there will be more than just the cup at the various stops: "there's a community activation team the Spitfires have had in place now for a few months and they'll be taking the cup out to each location. They'll be setting it up with tables some free giveaways and opportunities for contests and obviously opportunities to get photos with the trophy"
The tour will wrap up at the WFCU Centre on Day 10, Sunday May 23rd.
