Two people are charged after OPP got a little help from its K9 unit.
Police report on November 28, Maximus and his handler Constable Milan Matovski were able to track down the occupants of a reportedly stolen vehicle.
It was about 2:20am when police in Lakeshore called off a chase of a small grey Ford that had been reported stolen. Police say the Ford had been involved in similar chases in Windsor and LaSalle earlier that night.
Officers ended up finding the vehicle crashed in the new roundabout at Old Tecumseh Rd. and County Rd. 22.
Constable Matovski and Maximus began tracking the suspects who had ditched the crashed Ford and found the pair hiding in a nearby parking lot.
Jacob Brode, 31, of Windsor is charged with a number of offences including stealing a vehicle, break and enter as well as dangerous operation of a vehicle.
Sarah Bianchi, 34, of London is charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
