The Greater Essex County District School Board says the majority of its students will return to class during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Seventy-six per cent of secondary students will return to school in an adapted, in-person learning program that will involve taking courses equally in both the classroom and at home. The remaining 24 per cent will have their classes entirely online.
Sixty-five per cent of elementary schools will attend classes in person full-time with 23 per cent learning online.
Just 12 per cent will use the offline printed packages at home.
The board had survey responses for just over 23,000 of its 35,000 students before Friday's deadline.
That number was not updated in the latest release, but online learning rose from 20 per cent for secondary students and 10 per cent for elementary students reported Thursday.
