An information session on the impacts of tariffs on manufacturers is expected to draw a large crowd Wednesday afternoon at the Ciociaro Club.
The event is being organized by the Canadian Association of MoldMakers.
60 people were expected to attend but now more than 200 have registered, according to Executive Director Diane Deslippe.
She says there are six guest speakers.
"Each speaker will have about 10 to 15 minutes and then at the end we'll do a Q & A, so we'll probably run longer than 2pm."
"We only started this project last week," says Deslippe. "There was sort of a demand so on Thursday we sort of put it out and within Thursday to now, we have over 200 attendees."
She says the event will also feature a round table discussion and a question and answer period.
"We have some key players that have been heavily involved in a lot of the negotiations to date, so the information that they will have is updated as of then. There won't be a lot of presentations to hand out after the fact because what we know today is not necessarily what we're going to know tomorrow."
The guest speakers include the CEO of the Windsor Essex Economic Development Corporation Stephen MacKenzie along with Flavio Volpe, Jonathon Azzopardi and Michael Flett.
