A section of the Little River Watershed is a bit cleaner this morning.
On Tuesday, Caesars Windsor's Code Green team partnered with the Detroit River Canadian Cleanup, the City of Windsor and the Little River Enhancement Group to pick up trash that was littered along a portion of the watershed near the Twin Oaks industrial complex on Munich Court.

Kelly LaForest is the Health, Safety and Environment Specialist for Caesars Windsor. She says it was the fourth year the Code Green team participated in the clean up. LaForest says there was a lot of trash in the area.
"It's unfortunate hopefully by coming here, we were requested last year to come here to bring awareness to this area," says LaForest. "It's a great little area hopefully they'll turn it into a nice park and people will stop dumping. Every year it's something different, different piles of stuff, the biggest thing is getting people to stop dumping because a lot of these things that they dump for example there's a huge tree there, you can go to the waste drop off depot and it's free there."
Close to 45 people took part in the clean up. The volunteers were out there from 5pm until 7pm.
