The library in Leamington is set to close for the next six months for renovations.
Essex County Library Chief Librarian Robin Greenall says the branch on John St. will be closed as of October 7.
While it's closed for renovations, the library will be set-up in a temporary location at the former Hakim Optical on Erie St. S., which will open October 15.
Greenall says the temporary site will offer still offer computers.
"We will have a smaller collection than what they normally see from the Leamington branch but we're going to make sure we still have a good selection of new and requested books and wanted materials," says Greenall.
The renovation project is costing the municipality more than $1.5 million.
The upgrades will include more natural light for the building along with a music recording studio and a video production studio.
